My name is Kyisha Jones but I go by Ky.  My first memories of drawing with a purpose was in Junior H.S.  I was in an art class and drew the back of my classmate’s head/hairstyle.  My teacher saw it, and gave me encouraging words that made me want to keep drawing, and eventually start painting.

My most passionate Art form is Visual Arts.  Although during most of my artistic journey I’ve concentrated on painting, I’ve also done graphic art and design work, created and editing print layouts for a community newsletter, and done freelance projects for various other entities.

While I love using Acrylic paint because it allows me to more quickly create new works due to the fast drying time; I do plan to work with Oil paint more in the future.

My painting style varies from expressionism, to impressionism, and abstracts.  You will notice that I often use a lot of colors to bring a painting to life but every so often you will find that I’ve selected more subtle color palates.  It just depends on the subject and the feeling that I’m looking to convey.
